A board-certified periodontist and a board-certified conservative dentistry specialist work together on each case, so a single tooth is assessed from several clinical perspectives. What appears to be decay may turn out to be gum disease, and a tooth that seems to require an implant can sometimes be preserved. When preservation is not possible, treatment continues with a dentist experienced in implant surgery. Complex implant cases, such as those with insufficient bone or requiring revision surgery, are planned together with the patient after detailed diagnosis. We use 3D CT, intraoral scanning, and Qray caries detection to examine the condition of the teeth and gums, and explain why treatment is needed, how it proceeds, and what may change if it is delayed. A four-stage computer-controlled anesthesia system and warm-water scaling are used to reduce discomfort during treatment. Aesthetic Restoration (Ceramic Inlay)

The area treated for decay is restored with materials close to natural tooth color. A ceramic inlay is used for wider areas or those under heavy chewing force. It is bonded after a fabrication period following the impression, while smaller cavities can be filled with composite resin in a single visit.

An artificial root is placed where a tooth is missing, and a prosthetic crown is attached to it. The position is planned after checking the jawbone with 3D CT. Bone grafting or a sinus lift may be needed if bone volume is insufficient. Surgery itself does not take long, while the total treatment period varies depending on healing.

Composite Resin Filling

The area treated for decay is filled with composite resin in a color close to the natural tooth. For smaller cavities, the restoration can be completed in a single visit without taking an impression. The extent of decay is confirmed beforehand through examination and Qray caries detection. Wider damage may require an inlay or a crown instead.

Gum Contouring

Duration20minutes

For patients whose gums show prominently when smiling or whose gum line is uneven, the gum contour is reshaped. What is achievable depends on bone position, tooth length, and upper lip movement, so an examination is carried out beforehand. Topical anesthesia and a computer-controlled anesthetic system are used to reduce discomfort.
